Islington & Camden district under-13s came from behind to beat Medway 3-2 in the English Schools’ Trophy.
After gifting the home side the lead with an own goal, they saw Sammy Djilli hit a post with a free-kick and Djidji Rodrigues tuck home the rebound to level.
The visitors looked much stronger in the second half and hit the upright again, before Medway bundled home a free-kick to regain the lead with only four minutes left.
Some great play by Djilli set up Rodrigues to slot home an equaliser, though, and Islington & Camden claimed a dramatic late winner as a long ball upfield found Freddie Lambert and when his shot was saved, Djilli followed up to score.
Islington & Camden: Hales, Lambert, Shields, Bosko, Marley (Central Foudnation), Djilli (Highbury Grove), Rodrigues (Holloway), Miles, Ulloa, Williams-Lauder (Acland Burghley), Krasniqi (Haverstock), Mensah, Daniel, Johnathan (Aloysius).
