Kristian Kondo grabbed a last-minute winner as Pro Touch Soccer Academy Under-11s edged out MK Galacticos 3-2 in the Iber Cup tournament at Northampton’s Sixfields Stadium.

Kondo gave his side an excellent start, finishing off a neat passing move after just five minutes but, despite controlling possession, Pro Touch were unable to build on that lead.

They conceded an equaliser just before half-time when goalkeeper Rufus Kempton was wrong-footed by a deflected shot – and the Milton Keynes side then went 2-1 up on the counter-attack.

However, Pro Touch fought back well and Freddie Dore brought them level before Kondo snatched his second of the game to clinch victory in the final minute.

Pro Touch coach Tom Hooker said: “I think that goal just before half-time took the wind out of our sails a little bit as the boys were no longer first to the ball.

“But we kept piling on the pressure and overall I think the boys performed well against tough opposition and got the result they deserved.

“My men of the match would be Marco Porkola, who was composed throughout but didn’t shy away from any physical battles, and Kristian, who scored two very good goals and caused his marker non-stop problems.”
