Islington welterweight star George Kean is to make his professional debut next month after finalising a deal to join promoter Frank Warren.
Kean, the former Times ABC amateur, will box in a six-round contest at the Copper Box Arena, Stratford, on Saturday September 21.
The 22-year-old will be appearing alongside another Islington fighter – John Ryder, who challenges Billy Joe Saunders for the British middleweight title on the same bill.
“It’s a sensational card to make your debut on, alongside some of the big names in British boxing,” said Kean. “It’s going to be a memorable occasion to start my career off.”
