Three youngsters from the Anaconda Swimming Club will be chasing honours at the National Championships.
Tommy Donovan will go in the 50, 100 and 200 metre breaststroke at the British Summer Championships at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge from July 25-30, while Elena Dewhurst competes in the 50m freestyle.
The top 24 swimmers in each age group event are invited to this event, while the next 20 ranked swimmers go to the England Summer National Championships from August 2-6.
Dewhurst will be in action in the 100m freestyle and 50m butterfly, while clubmate Alice Hockey competes in the 50m breaststroke and head coach Wayne Lock said: “We are very pleased that once again the club has improved in regards to the number of qualifiers at major events this season.
“In 2016 the club had two swimmers in four events compared to three in seven this year.”
