A stunning free-kick from man of the match Casey Christou helped Angel Under-11s to overcome Springfield 2-1 and clinch their place in the Camden & Islington League Cup semi-finals.

Christou’s strike was cancelled out by a Springfield equaliser, but Freddie Bebbington popped up to grab the winner and send Angel through.

A late goal by Abraham Henao was enough to send Fusion Under-15s into the last four of the League Cup with victory over St John’s Wood United.

Goalkeeper Alex Webb was the hero for FC Unity Under-15s with two penalty saves in a shoot-out to decide their League Cup quarter-final with Somerstown Futures.

Man of the match Bobby Nash netted Unity’s goal in a 1-1 draw, with Cory Bailey converting the decisive spot-kick to clinch a 3-1 win on penalties.

Rees Jones grabbed a brace, including a superb individual goal, for Unity Under-12s as they stormed into the League Cup semi-finals with a 5-0 victory over Angel Islington Under-12s.

Alex Smith, Alfie Little and man of the match Alex Gibson were also on target for Unity.

A second-half strike by Daniel Leonard was enough to seal a 1-0 win for Unity Under-17s in their league clash with Regent’s Park.

Unity created numerous chances, but they were unable to make them count until Leonard found the net five minutes after the restart. Felix Romer was Unity’s man of the match.

Lucien Millard-Clothier kept out three spot-kicks as Isledon Wolves Under-10s progressed to the League Cup semi-finals after a penalty shoot-out against Primrose Hill.

Kai Brown hit the post before Primrose Hill took the lead, but Sid Kershaw-Shirley’s equaliser ensured penalties – and the goalkeeper’s heroics paved the way for Lucas Panayi to send Wolves through with the winning kick.

Nicky Marshall’s hat-trick maintained Isledon Wolves Under-14s’ hopes of the double as they overcame a competitive St John’s Wood side 5-2 in the League Cup quarter-finals.

Wolves fell behind after five minutes, but Mo Asam equalised and Marshall made it 2-1 with a sharp finish – only for St John’s Wood to draw level again.

Marshall edged Wolves back in front with his second and Reece Dewar netted to give his side some breathing space before Marshall rifled home again to complete his hat-trick.

Rossard Ferreti’s double helped to extend Isledon Wolves’ Under-nines’ run of form as they recorded a 4-0 win against strong opposition in Regent Knights.

Denis Whelan and Luke Levy were also on the scoresheet for Wolves, who always had their opponents on the back foot, while man of the match Tyson McIntosh shone in the centre of defence.
