Billy Mundee’s world-class Kennedy’s strengthened their position at the top of the Archway League with a 14-1 mauling of the hapless British Legion.
Paul Killington threw a 180 in the comprehensive thrashing, while foes Doyles A were left feeling by a 9-6 home loss to Royal Oak B.
A classic contest at the Boston Arms saw the deadly Stuart Pickles reel off his third 180 of the campaign as he drove his side to a 8-7 victory over the Nicholas Nicklelby.
Elsewhere, Rob Magwood’s ‘Mean Machine’ N19 snatched victory from the jaws of defeat with an enormous 8-7 comeback success at Royal Oak A, where Miles Fairhurst’s 92 finish was the key to victory in a nailbiting encounter.
In the basement battle at the foot of the table, Camden’s Sheephaven Bay crucially outfought the Old Oak at home 9-6 for a vital first win in five for the Irish outfit to gain a four-point lead over last position.
