Birkbeck Orient A are through to the semi-finals of the Sunday Junior Cup after their 1-0 win over Fenerbahce.

The game was evenly poised, with both sides cancelling each other out heading into the final 15 minutes, but then a George James cross was met sweetly on the half-volley by Dan Pereira from the edge of the box to seal victory for Orient.

FC Bartlett are though to the semi-finals of the Dickie Davies Cup as they comfortably beat Shakespeare 2-0 with goals from Dean Asamboa and top scorer Temi Topi.

In the Jack Walpole Cup, Top Red are through after they beat Hackney Allstars 7-4 thanks to a hat-trick from Jack Hewitt. Tom Beardmore and John Barber both scored a brace to complete the scoring for Hackney.

It was a far closer game between El Valiente and in-form Hacimac, but two goals from Aaron Marston and another from Matt Guidera proved pivotal for Valiente. Hacimac replied through Alfred Mills and Sheldon Merritt but it wasn’t enough.

In the Hackney and Leyton Junior Cup, Gladstone Wanderers turned the form table on its head with a 6-0 win over Regent’s Park Rovers, as Byron Price built on James Matthew’s treble and Mike Underwood’s brace.

South London Sharks edged a closely-fought game 2-1 against Wojak Sunday. A Chris Breen strike and an own goal put the Sharks 2-0 up before Dean Waite scored an injury-time consolation for Sunday.

Eagles FC progressed through to the next round as they easily saw off Woodford Rovers 5-1 with three goals from top scorer Carl Mullins and a double from Alex Powell. Terry De Bourde scored a consolation for Woodford.

In the Hackney & Leyton League Premier Division, Highfield remain just above the relegation zone after playing out an entertaining 3-3 draw with London Meteors.

Ben Maduku and Vas Sopylyuk had put them 2-0 up at half-time, but Meteors responded well in the second period as two Prince Amponsah goals levelled the scores.

Sopylyuk put Highfield ahead again, only for Amponsah to complete his hat-trick in injury time. Meanwhile, Riviera remain in the drop zone after they lost 2-0 to FC Niva, with both goals from Dimitri Mihaylov.

In Division One, leaders Forest Athletic suffered another defeat, with Bristow City recording a thumping 4-0 victory through two goals from Leo Dawson and further strikes by Toby Cannon and Ted Cunningham.

Jack Barry beat Division Two promotion hopefuls BG United 5-2 with Danny Woah scoring twice, following goals from Ben Mont, Biko Wiksan and Leon Wright. Krasimir Kamboshev hit a brace for BG.

Improving Quinine recorded their first win of the season with a 4-1 triumph over in-form Delta Athletic.

Delta took an early lead through Jordan Lansford, but Quinine responded through a Tom Tee strike. Two further efforts from Eddie Jones and another from Nathan James then ensured victory to move Quinine out of the bottom two.

Unbeaten FC Stepney claimed another big win as they thumped Jay Cubed 11-0. Sam Cashman scored four, while Darius Freeman’s hat-trick was followed by Johnny Ashman’s brace and further strikes from Niall Cashman and substitute Mo Fathi.

Tommy Flynn beat promotion hopefuls Boroughs United 2-1 as Andy Benskin’s double cancelled out a David Frost goal for Boroughs.

In Division Three, second-placed Boston Celtic returned to winning ways with a 4-1 success over Bocca Albion. George Caroll, Bob Berat, Bobby Cassey and Nathan Skelton were all on target for Celtic, while Edward Moore replied for Bocca.

ELE FC recorded their first league win of the season as they beat FC BKT 4-2 with two goals apiece from Jesse Joseph and Raj Mathurin. Nathan Enskin and Joe Berner scored consolations for BKT.

Cieran McLean’s double was not enough to prevent defeat for Waltham Forest as Maynell beat the league leaders 3-2 with goals from Adrian Johnson, Montiarno Ruddock and Tremaine Brown.

In Division Four, Bethune’s promotion hopes remain alive after a 6-1 win over Boundary Estate as Ricky Hanmore scored a hat-trick for the fourth-placed side. Toby Bland, Anthony Alexander and Johnny Vivas were also on the scoresheet.

Bow Badgers drew 2-2 with Eastway Olympia as Jerome Adams and Dean Salibi both scored to cancel out Chris Smiley’s double for Eastway.

Finally, East London played out a six-goal thriller with Birkbeck Orient B in a 3-3 draw. Stuart Farren scored twice, while Steve Luker was also on target for East London, but goals from Usman Alashe, Joel Crookes and substitute Phil Stopford for Orient meant the points were shared.
