Islington super lightweight Louis Isaacs has signed with Goodwin Promotions after turning professional.

The 20-year-old took part in 75 contests as an amateur representing Hoxton-based Lion ABC, winning five London titles.

Isaacs, though, believes the time is now right to turn professional and is hoping to make his debut on a Goodwin show in March.

Another former Lion boxer Sam Cox, meanwhile, is looking forward to his second fight as a professional later this year.

The bantamweight will fight on the Goodwin bill at York Hall in Bethnal Green on March 10 against a selected opponent.

In his debut last July, the 23-year-old recorded a points victory over Kuwait-born Anwar Alfadli at York Hall.

With Cox back in action at the same venue again in March, he will be hoping for a similar result.

With both Isaacs and Cox part of the Goodwin stable, it could be an exciting year for the two former Lion boxers.
