The Calthorpe club enjoyed a comprehensive victory over Eastcote on Saturday
Crouch End managed to return to winning ways in some style on Saturday in the Middlesex County Division Two.
After a poor run of form in June, Hiren Desai's chargers were back to their best when Eastcote visited Calthorpe last weekend.
The hosts smashed 280-8 with the bat off 46 overs and then dismissed the away side for 72 with plenty of time to spare.
Eastcote called correctly at the toss, but made the bad decision to field first and saw Dhaval Narotam hit 74 at the top for Crouch End.
He was well supported by fellow opener Jalpesh Vijay, who made 34 in quick time, and then Chetan Depala (46) and Tom Scollay (59) kept the scoreboard ticking over.
Vice-captain Pratik Patel was able to add 46 not out before he made early inroads with the ball.
Ryan Cunningham (1-18) and Scollay (1-13) did some damage, but the day belonged to Crouch End's talented all-rounder.
Patel claimed figures of 8-26 from 14.3 overs to bowl Eastcote out for 72 and earn a victory by 208 runs.
Next up for Desai's men is Saturday's clash away to local rivals Highgate at Shepherd's Cot.
