Hiren Desai’s side are on course for promotion, but couldn’t defeat Uxbridge last weekend
Crouch End will be hopeful of getting back to winning ways this weekend in the Middlesex County League Division Three.
Hiren Desai’s team entertain ninth in the standings Indian Gymkhana looking to remain within touching distance of leaders Brentham.
After 13 fixtures, Crouch End have 102 points and are 11 off the pace-setters.
Last weekend, the second-placed Calthorpe club could only draw at Uxbridge despite scoring 213 with the bat.
The hosts put Crouch End in first and opener Jalpesh Vijay showed his class with 92 off 75 balls – a knock which included 15 fours.
James Jenkins was the next best with a score of 36, but 213 all out still seemed enough for the visitors to defend.
Uxbridge had other ideas and made an excellent start and were 150-2 at one stage, but then the fightback began.
Ryan Cunningham (2-93) got the key scalp of Donovan Pell for 53 and Amandeep Dhaliwal then took over and picked up 4-15 off five overs, but the hosts ended on 178-8.
