The 20-year-old, who holds the WBC World Youth belt, came out throwing left jabs and right hooks against Brixton’s AJ Carter and twice put his rival on the canvas.

Following a third knockdown, referee Lee Cook stopped the fight after only 48 seconds and Carter had to be given oxygen before walking out of the ring and going to hospital.

Dubois has now won all five of his bouts inside the distance and promoter Warren said: “He punches harder than any British heavyweight I’ve seen and is potentially one of the best I’ve ever had.”

Former Times ABC youngster Zak Chelli outpointed Yorkshire’s Adam Jones on the same bill.

Chelli dominated all six rounds with stiff left jabs and overhand right hooks catching his rival as he came forward.

And despite being cut over the right eye in the third round, Chelli won 60-55 on Cook’s card.

Islington welterweight Freddy Kiwitt defends his Southern Area title against Louis Greene on a Goodwin promotion at York Hall on Saturday.

Kiwitt won the title at the same venue in July when he knocked out Stoke Newington’s Erick Ochieng in round seven.

*Islington’s John Ryder will be in 10-round action on October 14 at The SSE Arena Wembley when he takes on Denmark’s Patrick Nielsen in a chief supporting contest to the George Groves-Jamie Cox WBA super-middleweight bout promoted by Sauerland Promotions, a German-based fight organisation.

It is an important contest for former Angel amateur Ryder, 29, after a controversial points loss to Rocky Fielding for the vacant British super-middleweight title.

Ryder has 24 wins, 12 of them inside the distance, and four losses, including one stoppage, and has been a professional for seven years and remains in the super-middleweight mix.

He has spent time in the Canary Islands recently sparring with Billy Joe Saunders, who retained his WBO world middleweight title with a clear points victory over American Willie Monroe Jnr.

Nielsen, 26, is also a southpaw with 29 wins, 14 inside the distance, and a solitary points loss and it proves to be a closely fought contest, with Ryder hoping home advantage will help.
