FC Niva secured their first victory in the Premier Division of the Hackney & Leyton League at the fourth attempt on Sunday, with Constantin Tronciu netting twice in a 4-2 victory over El Valiente.

Mario Bandara and Ihor Robra were also on target for the victors, who moved up to eighth place in the table, while Uzi Izzea and Aaron Marston replied for Valiente.

Meanwhile, Mile End lost their place at the top after a crushing 5-1 defeat to Shakespeare. John Gilroy hit a hat-trick and George Oakley and Matty Ball also got on the scoresheet for Shakespeare, while Charley Heatly grabbed a consolation goal.

That result allowed FC Bartlett to move into first place after their 1-0 victory over London United, with Nze Onyekwelu hitting the only goal.

Mustard’s 6-2 triumph over Wounded Knee was a rather more open and free-scoring affair. Andrew White was on target twice and Gio Falzone, Gary Silvera, Dean Phillips and Tony Bradley also struck for Mustard, while Warim Enuouiti and Joshua Ade were able to celebrate goals for Wounded Knee despite their defeat.

Tottenham Phoenix managed to eclipse that margin of victory, winning 7-2 against FC Riviera. Maj Egan, Mykel Maynard and Menalik Richards all hit braces and Sandro Gradel also got in on the act, while Eltov Dervishaj and Klodjan Hoxha salvaged some pride for Riviera.

n Division One, Eagle FC maintained their place at the top of the table with a 4-1 victory over Brazilian Boys.

Carl Mullins struck twice and his team-mates Deny Ellul and Kofi Billy joined him on the scoresheet, while Rai Gabriel replied.

Highfield are only trailing in second place on goals scored – and they did their best to make up the deficit after thumping Athletico Forest 9-1.

Marcus Renford and Ike Mbonu both hit trebles, and Olathe Just scored two goals of his own, while Vasyl Sopylyk also contributed to the rout.

FC Stepney are also among the five teams lying level on nine points at the top, and they too boosted their goal difference with a 6-0 victory over Top Red.

Ryan Stowell struck three times and Darius Freeman grabbed a double, while Larry Corrall also had an individual moment to celebrate.

Fourth-placed Birkbeck Orient were comfortable winners too, beating Hacquenye 5-1 with goals from Dan Pereira (3), Ross Kerwood and Miles Creevy. Cem Ozen replied for Hacquenye, who are lying in the bottom two after three straight defeats.

Dynamics complete the set of teams that are only separated by goal difference, and they overcame Kentish Albion 5-2 with goals from Murat (3), Ferhat Bilgili and Ibrahim Sal. Jonny Mallinson and Alex John hit back for Albion.

Sixth-placed Bristow City beat The Challengers 2-1, with goals from Seb Evans and Jordan Smith securing all three points despite Desislav Georgiev’s strike.
