A fine solo effort from Dominic Curren proved decisive as FC Unity under-14s edged out Sapo Verde 2-1 and extended their unbeaten run to four games in the Camden & Islington Youth League.

Maurice Lebbie opened the scoring before Curren netted Unity’s second, while Charlie Morris, Christian Trujillo and Bobby Nash all turned in impressive defensive performances to help secure the points.

Man of the match Callum Cushing grabbed the winner as FC Unity Under-17s triumphed 3-2 in a see-saw clash with Crown & Manor.

Daniel Leonard put Unity in front after just five minutes, but C&M hit back to lead 2-1 at half-time before James Dill netted the equaliser and Cushing sealed victory.

Isledon Wolves Under-10s went down 3-2 after a hard-fought encounter against The Heath.

Wolves fell behind in the opening seconds, but Lucas Panayi’s cross was turned across the line by a Heath defender for the equaliser and his side then piled on the pressure.

Cameron Paul slotted home to put Wolves 2-1 up early in the second half, but Heath fought back to clinch the points with two goals in quick succession. Korey Allen was Wolves’ man of the match.

Tyson McIntosh’s early goal was not enough for Wolves Under-nines, who lost 2-1 to Fusion.

Wolves held their advantage until half-time, but Fusion turned the game around in the second period and pressured their opponents into two costly mistakes.

Wolves Under-eights were sunk by two late goals in a nine-goal thriller against Sapo Verde after they had led twice.

Sapo went 2-0 up before a brace from Lyes Djellali and Louie Hartley’s strike gave Wolves the advantage – only for Sapo to level at 3-3.

Jonnie Lilley seemed to have won it with the outstanding goal of the game, but Sapo kept fighting and scored twice to snatch the points. Faris Boukli was Wolves’ man of the match.

Isledon Wolves Under-14s need two more wins to secure successive Harrow Youth League titles after they saw off St Joseph’s 3-1.

Mo Asam gave Wolves the lead, with Ali Mede and Nicky Marshall also on the scoresheet. Thierry Okwara, William Sousa and goalkeeper Fred Akguc all impressed for Wolves.
