Arsenal are expected to make up to ten changes against Spurs for the 195th North London at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

Unai Emery’s Gunners who are unbeaten in 17 matches across all competitions will field a vastly more experienced side after their 3-0 victory against Vorskla in the Europa League on Thursday.

The fitness of Alexandre Lacazette, who missed the win at Bournemouth with a groin injury, will be assessed ahead of kick-off.

A raft of senior players will be recalled although whether Mesut Ozil will start remains to be seen.

Tottenham defender Juan Foyth returns after being ineligible for Wednesday’s win against Inter Milan while Jan Vertonghen who played in the 1-0 victory over the Nerrazurri could play his first league game since September.

Christian Eriksen, who scored the winner to keep their faint Champions League hopes alive could start after an abdominal injury.

Midfielder Erik Lamela will be assessed after suffering a thigh injury at Wembley while Kieran Trippier is still out with a groin problem.

Arsenal beat Tottenham 2-0 at the Emirates last season, but that is their only win in their last eight league games against Spurs (D4, L3), while Spurs have only won one of their last 25 top-flight games away to the Gunners (D10, L14), with their solitary success a 3-2 victory in 2010.

Tottenham have lost a record 37 points from winning positions in league games against Arsenal since 1993 - the worst of any club against a single opponent.

Arsenal have scored in each of their last 22 home games against Tottenham in all competitions with the previous time they failed to find the net against them was in a 0-0 draw in November 1998.

The sides have met 195 times in all competitions, with Arsenal leading by 81 wins to Tottenham’s 63.
