Unbeaten Arsenal Women will look for a 10th straight win in all competitions when they return to action with a trip to Everton this weekend.
And they will travel to Haig Avenue, Southport having picked up a trio of awards this week.
Joe Montemurro was named the LMA’s manager of the month for October, while Dutch striker Vivianne Miedema took the player of the month prize for her seven goals in three games.
And midfielder Jordan Nobbs was voted as the fans’ player of the month, after netting four times in three games and taking 22 per cent of the vote.
The club have also signed experienced Danish international defender Janni Arnth Jenson from Linkopings and Montemurro told arsenal.com: “Janni is an experienced professional and important addition to our squad.
“Her understanding of the game, technical knowledge and game experience is important for our squad to grow. We are pleased to have her with us and I am looking forward to working with her.”
England international Leah Williamson, meanwhile, paid tribute to boss Montemurro for his work at the club since joining a year ago.
The 21-year-old Williamson told arsenal.com: “I’m so happy for him and I know a lot of the girls will be too.
“We’ve credited a lot of the stuff we’ve been playing to Joe and he’ll probably say the same about us, but he really is a gem. We’re lucky to have him.”
Arsenal have only lost three matches since Montemurro took the reins and Williamson added: “He took us back to basics and built us from the bottom again. He recognised that needed to happen, but he’s just created an environment where our talent can shine through.
“He allows everybody in our team to flourish and we’re seeing the results of that now. Joe has helped me progress as a player in the areas that I really wanted to and I suppose I’m seeing the results of that when I join up with the national team too.”
Williamson played the full 90 minutes as England beat Austria 3-0 last Thursday, but was an unused substitute in the 2-0 home defeat to Sweden on Sunday.
