Arsenal and Reading meet in a crucial FA WSL Continental Tyres Cup tie at Boreham Wood's Meadow Park on Sunday.
With both teams unbeaten so far in the tournament and with two teams qualifying from each group it could well turn out to be the game that decides the group winners.
Arsenal have netted 12 goals in two wins over Millwall and London Bees, but they have not been quite as dominant in the Super League, with seven points from four games, although they did beat Everton 2-0 in their most recent fixture.
That lifted them to fourth place, one behind Reading who have also picked up two wins and a draw in four FA WSL matches.
They have played just one game in the cup so far, beating Watford 4-0, and can take a giant step towards the knockout stages with a win against the Gunners.
Arsenal have had the edge in recent fixtures between the sides, with Danielle Carter’s goal separating the teams in the Spring Series.
They also got the better of the Royals on three occasions in 2016, but going back to 2014, and a Continental Tyres Cup encounter, Reading claimed a 2-0 success, with then-Royal Fran Kirby opening the scoring.
Arsenal midfielder Jordan Nobbs said: “We’ll be expecting a tough game again against Reading on Sunday, but whenever we play in these competitions we want to win and we want to put in a good performance.
“It’s been tough for us as a club at the moment and I think the girls have been very professional and this is another cup that we want to be in the final for.
“Sunday will be a big game and we want to be winning them no matter who we’re playing.
“When you have a team like Arsenal you want to be pushing everyone and I think, at this moment in time, that we have a big squad and a strong one as well.”
