Archie Harker’s double boosted St John’s Wood Under-14s’ Camden & Islington League title push as they beat Futebol de Salao 4-1 with an excellent team performance.

Mark Haghani gave St John’s Wood an early lead and Harker made it 2-0 before an individual run and finish from man of the match Jonah Perez brought about number three.

FDS were more competitive in the second half, but Harker hit his second of the game and, despite conceding a late consolation goal, St John’s Wood retained their six-point lead at the top.

Injury-hit Isledon Wolves Under-14s fought back from an early setback to clinch a 4-2 win against CM Futsal.

Futsal capitalised on a sloppy pass to take the lead, but Wolves skipper Keiron Loughney levelled with an unstoppable free-kick and Dorian Jevdjic made amends for an earlier miss, scoring his first goal for the club.

Danai Kapfunde made it 3-1 – and netted again after the break, starting and finishing a five-man move as he smashed in a pass from Max Sutton. Goalkeeper Josh Stepien produced a superb fingertip save before Futsal pulled one back late on.

Wolves Under-12s came from 3-0 down to grab a share of the spoils in a thrilling game against Primrose Hill.

Dreadful defending enabled Primrose to score three times without reply in the first half, but Wolves pulled together and dominated the second period.

Tommy Jackson struck a brace, with Jermaine Danquah registering a rare goal.

Jack Cruise and Oliver Heath both scored braces as Angel Islington Under-11s continued their recent run of form in a 5-2 victory over Pro Touch Soccer Academy.

Ertugrul Dincer was also on the mark as Angel ran out victorious.
