Highgate Harriers men’s team completed a double at Kingsbury by bringing home both the North of Thames Championship and Liddiard Cup trophies.
The Harriers finished first in both the six and eight to score events, with four of their runners – Sean Renfer, Dominic Smith, Darryl Davison and Fergal Smithwick inside the top 10.
Renfer headed the Highgate contingent in sixth place (25 minutes 44 seconds), closely followed by seventh-placed Smith (25:46), Davison (25:47) and Smithwick (26:20) in eighth and 10th respectively.
The scoring eight was completed by Jack Matthewman (27:15), Andrew Collins (27:23), Chris Beecham (27:26) and Alex Davidson (28:35), with three other Highgate runners finishing – Chris Bailey (31:33), Chris Wilson (32:16) and Steve Scrutton (36:24).
In the women’s race, the performances of Esther Pigney (19:30), Jemima Storey (20:00), Lucy McGuiness (20:29) and Natasha Cendrowicz (21:23) ensured that Harriers finished third.
