Islington veteran Syed Haider Mannan collected two gold medals and a silver at the Free Style Karate Open Grand Championships in Manchester.
The 52-year-old, a 7th dan black belt from Newington Green, won gold in his age group for both the Over-85kg point fighting and the kata soft style categories.
Haider also added a silver medal in the Korean Poomsa (Jitae) Over-85kg section at the George H Carnall Sports Centre, which took his total medal haul to five this year.
The Islington fighter’s next target is the Michigan Cup, an international tae kwon-do championship taking place in the USA later this month.
