Islington welterweight Jordan Grannum admits he will never be satisfied with his performances, whatever success he enjoys in his professional career.
Grannum, who made a winning start to life in the pro ranks earlier this month, will be back in the ring on Friday night against Dean Mills at The Troxy, east London.
The ex-Islington BC man began his paid career by overcoming journeyman William Warburton on points at the Camden Centre and is set for another four-round contest on next week’s show.
“I’ve always been very critical of myself,” said the 22-year-old. “I always get out of the ring upset – and I usually win!
“I’m never going to be happy with the way I box – I set my standards high. I know what I can do and I know what I can achieve.
“Everyone I spoke to said afterwards they had a great night [at the Camden Centre] and, when I hear people say that, it makes me realise what a special night it was.
“I was amazed with the amount of love I got from the crowd and I just hope they keep supporting me.”
The show is co-promoted by Mickey Helliet and Warrior Promotions. Tickets are available on 07956 593 834.
Islington light-middleweight Georgie Kean is back in action on the same night, facing Nottingham’s Nathan McIntosh at Harrow Leisure Centre.
The 24-year-old will be aiming for his fourth straight victory on the Queensberry Promotions show.
