Islington & Camden under-13s celebrated winning the Compton Cup for the first time since 1964 after a 4-2 win over Hillingdon.

Sean Chambers-McIntosh netted all four goals for the champions, who ended the season with an unbeaten record.

Needing only a point to claim the famous trophy, they fell behind to a header from a corner.

But Islington & Camden were back on level terms when great work from Billy Osborn on the right saw him set up Chambers-McIntosh for a flicked finish.

The second half was just as tight and Hillingdon regained the lead with 15 minutes to go when a long ball bounced over Miller Hales and was tapped in.

More excellent work by Osborn saw him beat two defenders and cross for Chambers-McIntosh to fire home his second equaliiser and he chased a loose ball to outmuscle the Hillingdon defence and slot home to complete his hat-trick.

Chambers-McIntosh sealed victory two minutes from time when collecting the ball on halfway and beating four defenders before firing home.

Manager Marc Stocking said: “I’m so proud of all the boys, not only the ones that played today but the whole squad. We have worked hard all season and now we have a trophy!

“To be the first Islington & Camden team since 1964 to win this trophy is something the boys should be very proud of.”
