London Blitz maintained their excellent play-off record in Scotland as they beat East Kilbride Pirates 19-7 to advance to their 10th consecutive BritBowl final.

The Finsbury Park side overcame East Kilbride for the fourth year in a row and will again lock horns with defending champions London Warriors at Allianz Park next month.

Wide receiver Michael Aboujaoude opened the scoring with a 65-yard touchdown, taking advantage of a devastating block from running back Deji Alli.

Quarterback Tim Liechti found Henry Charlton-Weedy alone in the end zone to increase Blitz’s lead in the second quarter.

And the third Blitz touchdown came from Ari Hallodorsson – the first of his career – after he scooped up a loose ball and ran it 37 yards, with Pirates quarterback Neil Baptie getting his side on the scoresheet late on.
