Every match in the Premier Division, Division Two and Division Three was abandoned after rain descended on north London

Hornsey entertain Harrow St Marys this weekend in the Middlesex County League Division Two looking to keep up their strong start to 2018.

The Crouch End-based club, who play on Tivoli Road, were frustrated by the wet weather last Saturday like most sides.

Hornsey visited Winchmore Hill and the hosts had reached 72-1 from 14 overs when the clash had to be abandoned due to the rain.

Nii-Amaa Ollennu claimed the only wicket for Garfield Struthers’ team before no more play could take place.

The north Londoners were looking to build on their win over Eastcote on the opening day of the Division Two term on May 5.

Since then Hornsey have tasted defeat in the National Club Championship away to Premier Division Finchley and lost to fellow top tier side North Middlesex in the T20 Cup, but confidence remains high after battling displays in both losses.

North Middlesex are set to be in league action at the weekend away to Highgate after last Saturday’s contest with Brondesbury was called off after 23.1 overs.

Hugh Teesdale (1-26) and Luke Hollman (1-18) claimed early scalps for the hosts while Joe Cracknell played his part in a run-out as the away side reached 77-3 before the rain arrived.

Premier Division rivals Hampstead make the trip to Brondesbury on Saturday aiming to maintain their strong start.

Liam Hughes side are joint-top of the table after winning their opener at Teddington before last weekend’s clash at home to Ealing was stopped after 15 overs due to rain.

In Division Three, South Hampstead and North London will look to secure their first victory of the league season this Saturday.

North London are at home to early pace setters Acton while South Hampstead travel to the joint-leaders Brentham.

Both teams saw their games last weekend abandoned due to the rain with the whole of Division Three a wash-out.

South Hampstead were 49-2 off nine overs at home to Indian Gymkhana with Kobe Herft unbeaten on 17.

Meanwhile North London were 30-2 when play away to Uxbridge was halted and the abandonment leaves Sam Bardon’s team on two points.
