Niko Muir, Jordy Ndjeka and Daniel Nicholas all netted doubles as Islington Admiral United recorded their second biggest win of the season, thrashing Arya 7-0 at Market Road.
Muir, Meron Tesfay and Ndjeka were all on target to take Admiral into a 3-0 lead inside the opening half-hour, while goalkeeper David White was in outstanding form at the other end.
Arya – who had recently beaten title contenders Myddleton Arms and Regent’s – could find no way through the Admiral defence.
Admiral continued to dominate after the interval, with Alfie Bartram and Andrew White controlling the midfield.
Muir and Ndjeka both found the net again in the second half to make it 5-0 before Nicholas struck a brace of his own, rounding off an emphatic victory.
Admiral, who are fourth in the Islington Midweek League Premier Division table, are back in action on Thursday night at Market Road against Regent Rovers before facing Arya in the return match on Tuesday.
