Debutant Sang Pierre Gomez got his name on the scoresheet as Islington & Camden Under-15s won 4-1 at Brent in the Star Shield.
The St Aloysius’ winger was one of four scorers for Islington & Camden, who had swept Brent aside 6-1 in their Corinthian Shield tie the previous week.
Cy Samuel-Clarke put the visitors in front on 15 minutes, heading in Meshak Duncan’s cross at the far post, and Joe White then set up Duncan to round the goalkeeper and make it 2-0 10 minutes later.
Sami Abraham pulled a goal back for Brent early in the second half and the visitors, who lost centre-back Oliver Achille to a knee injury, had to withstand a sustained spell of pressure.
But they gained some breathing space when White played in substitute Gomez to slot home and captain Dylan Bolister wrapped up the victory, heading in the fourth goal from a Zak Miles cross.

Jarnel Small and Donville Munroe both scored twice as Islington & Camden Under-12s held off Harrow to edge a nine-goal thriller 5-4.
Small’s neat finish put I&C ahead and Munroe made it 2-0 before Harrow pulled a goal back, only for Ellis Swift-Harris to smash in an unstoppable volley from the edge of the box.
Small’s 30-yard free-kick extended his side’s lead to 4-1 at the break, but Harrow responded with a double strike in the second half, narrowing the gap to a single goal.
Islington & Camden then hit them on the break, with the pacy Munroe rounding the goalkeeper to make it 5-3 before the visitors netted a late consolation.
“We have only had three training sessions and some of the passing and movement was pleasing to see,” said Islington & Camden manager Marc Stocking. “I hope the team can build on this.”
Substitute Tyler Ming’s equaliser proved to be in vain as Islington & Camden Under-13s went down 4-1 at Thurrock in the English Schools’ Trophy.
I&C goalkeeper Jonty Purdom performed bravely to deny Thurrock as they launched a sustained aerial attack in the early stages, while centre-half Charlie Wickham headed a chance off the line.
It looked as if the visitors had weathered the storm, only for Thurrock to snatch the lead as Purdom parried a shot, but was beaten to the rebound.
Islington & Camden had two efforts ruled out for offside before half-time, but Ming brought them level after the break as he chased down a back-pass and slotted in.
However, the home side regained the lead and I&C, pushing players forward in search of an equaliser, were caught twice more on the counter-attack.
