Middlesex bowler Nathan Sowter was delighted to play his part in their VItality Blast T20 win over Somerset on Sunday.

Sowter took 4-29 as the visitors were dismissed for 180, in pursuit of a challenging Middlesex score of 215-4.

And he said it felt like things were starting to happen for him again in the shortest form of the game, ahead of a London derry with Surrey, saying: "I'm pretty happy with how it's coming out at the moment. I feel like it's starting to click again with the white ball. We've got the win and now we can move forward to Thursday against Surrey.

"It doesn't really matter how either team is performing - when we play against Surrey, it's a big game and a tough game. It's a good opportunity to showcase our skills and we'll go to Lord's and put our plans in place to try and do one on them again."

Middlesex captain Dawid Malan hit 56 off 37 balls, before AD de Villiers clubbed an unbeaten 88 off just 35 deliveries, smacking nine sixes and one four.

And although Eoin Morgan fell relatively cheaply on this occasion, Sowter says it's great to have such batting talent at their disposal in what he feels is the strongest Middlesex side he has known.

He added: "With AB and Morgs being in the ranks, they bring a few more people into the ground as well. They're both world-class and you've seen that again - AB's innings was something else.

"This is probably the strongest side I've played in. From 1 to 11, it's class and you've got blokes sitting on the sidelines who probably think they should be in the side as well."
