Rivals find going tough in qualifying
Islington and Camden boys missed out on a place at the London Youth Games basketball finals after some tough qualifying action.
Camden were well beaten by top seeds Southwark (21-2) and also tasted defeat against Greenwich (33-18) and Hackney (32-13) to finish bottom of their group, joint 22nd overall.
Meanwhile, neighbours Islington managed to edge past Hounslow (27-25), but defeats against Wandsworth (25-19) and group winners Newham (21-17) saw them finish third and out of the quarter-final placings in a share of 15th place in the final standings.
