A fitness and creative hobbies showcase comes to Archway’s Hargrave Hall
Is your September resolution to take up a new hobby, or find a new way to get fit? 28 exhibitors will be at the Learning Fair at Hargrave Hall in Archway on 9 September to showcase their services, from tai chi to hula hoop.
If you’ve ever toyed with the idea of yoga but felt too shy to attend a class, this is your chance to chat to the instructors and find out if you’re more suited to Hatha, Vinyasa or the less conventional Laughter Yoga. Belinda Ackermann of Tonic For the Heart will show you the rebalancing joys of tai chi, and Islington’s Anaconda Swimming School will be there to present its competitive training sessions for North London young ‘uns.
For something more dynamic, give SwingTrain a go – it’s a calorie-blasting cardio choreography class which could just become your new weekend pastime! And if you don’t fancy breaking a sweat, that’s fine too – there will be art classes, language cafes, backgammon and letterpress workshops. See it as speed-dating for hobbies: come with an open mind, and leave with a new passion that will keep you warm through the long winter months.
Hargrave Hall Learning Fair. 9 September, 11am – 4pm. Hargrave Rd, N19 5SP
