Shoreditch’s The Book Club is also hosting a ‘Palentine’s Day’ event as part of their Valentines Day weekend events.

After a way to shake up your traditional Valentine’s Day plans? Look no further than The Book Club in Shoreditch this February, as they host two contrasting events geared towards couples and singletons alike.

On Saturday 13, the bar and night club will be running an erotic bakery class, where beginners can join up with a partner and learn to decorate some unusual cupcakes and create some truly breath-taking cake art. Prizes will be awarded for realism and invention, while drinks will be available at the bar.

The next day, on Valentine’s Day itself, The Book Club is running a ‘Palentine’s Day’ party, where guests can celebrate with the friends they love most in the world. Kicking off at 5pm with a friendship bracelet making workshop courtesy of Crafternoon Cabaret Club, the night will include a screening of the classic ‘90s ‘BFF’ film Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion. You’ll also have the chance to pen a moving love letter to your pal, relive your slumber party days with a game of truth or dare and sample a special ‘sidekick’ cocktail.

Tickets for Erotic Baking are £7 in advance (including take home cake). Tickets for Palentine’s Day are £6.50 – including friendship bracelet workshop, film screening and sugary snacks. For full event details, visit wearetbc.com
