Britain’s first street food collective has been launched at a brand new pedestrian street in King’s Cross.
King’s Boulevard is now home to a rotating group of London’s best kerb-side cooks from the group eat.st who will be serving up anything from burritos to paella and pizza to indian spiced burgers every Thursday and Friday between 10am and 4pm.
It makes it the first dedicated street food zone in London and the first permanent base for the growing eat.st collective, and the developers behind the King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership project have become the first in the city to embrace the new-wave street food movement.
Prabha Rathinasabapathy, from King’s Cross, said: “eat.st is an exciting collective of high quality food traders and we’re delighted to be collaborating with them on this venture. The collective brings together the best of entrepreneurialism and authenticity: qualities we would like to continue to support at King’s Cross. The micro-market has brought our first new street to life by serving fantastic food to people in and around the development – from students and office staff to construction workers and visitors.”
