Distorted Façade brings the artists together to look at the human form, both producing bodies of work that explore the depiction of the figure in the post modern age.
Schade’s distinctive graphic ribbon style has made him on of the UK’s most recognisable street artists, and his huge works can be seen in various places around east London. He uses a technique of intricate layering of illustrative stencils.
O’Connor’s mixed media works use acrylics, spray paint, ink, paint marker and household glass and emulsions applied in an equally diverse manner using various impliments and his hands to combine natural flowing lines with harsh diagonals.
Especially for this exhibition, they have also created a collaborative painting.
Distorted Façade opens May 25 for a private view with music and refreshments. RSVP to info@wellhung.co.uk to attend. The exhibition runs until June 30.
